PawMotion Rehabilitation is run and managed by Aimee Plumb-Joy. Aimee is fully qualified in Level 3 Canine Hydrotherapy and is registered with the National Association of Registered Canine Hydrotherapists (NARCH). Having founded the centre at just 20 years old, Aimee is now proud to be the youngest canine hydrotherapy centre owner in Cambridgeshire.
Aimee is deeply passionate about the health and wellbeing of all dogs and understands how important hydrotherapy can be for pain relief, rehabilitation, and overall fitness. Her work has been recognised through multiple awards, with PawMotion Rehabilitation recently winning Outstanding Pet Rehabilitation Centre 2026 and Aimee being Highly Commended Animal Therapist of the Year 2026. Previously, when operating as Cambridge Hydrotherapy Centre, the business was also awarded Hydrotherapy Centre of the Year 2024 and Best Family Run Business of Cambridgeshire 2025.
Our pool measures 5 metres by 3 metres with a depth of 1.2 metres, allowing dogs of all sizes from the smallest breeds to larger dogs to swim comfortably in a safe and controlled environment. Every dog is individually assessed and provided with a personalised programme tailored to their specific needs and abilities.
Aimee is always in the pool with her patients, offering reassurance and hands on support while closely monitoring movement and affected areas to maximise rehabilitation and fitness outcomes. We maintain excellent relationships with local veterinary practices and work closely with referring vets to ensure the highest standard of care. PawMotion Rehabilitation is committed to providing a professional, compassionate, and results-driven service for every dog that comes through our doors.
We are located just 5 miles south of Cambridge and are easily accessible via the M11 and A14.

Canine rehabilitation supports dogs recovering from injury, surgery, or age-related mobility changes by: improving strength, comfort, and overall function through targeted therapeutic techniques. Hydrotherapy provides low-impact exercise that reduces pain, builds muscle, and improves joint mobility; laser therapy offers non-invasive, drug-free pain relief by reducing inflammation and speeding up tissue healing; and mobility sessions use tailored exercises to enhance strength, balance, flexibility, and movement quality.

PawMotion Rehabilitation is owned and managed by Aimee Plumb-Joy. Aimee holds a Level 3 Diploma in Small Animal Hydrotherapy, a Diploma in Canine Myotherapy, and is qualified as a Fear Free Professional and Canine Mobility Nurse.
Aimee’s passion for hydrotherapy developed through personal experience with her late dog, Stan, who suffered from severe arthritis and a spinal cord stroke, making everyday activities increasingly challenging. In addition to managing chronic pain, Stan was also reactive to people and other dogs, which made finding a suitable hydrotherapy centre difficult.
This experience inspired Aimee to establish PawMotion Rehabilitation as a calm, inclusive, and supportive environment, designed to meet the needs of all dogs, including those who are anxious or reactive.
Aimee now shares her life with two dogs a rescue Boxer cross Labrador and a Jack Russell, further reinforcing her commitment to compassionate, individualised canine care.
